Digested Living
A place to recognize yourself.

We are continually meeting a world that affects us—and meeting it from within a body already alive with everything that came before. Digested Living™ is an exploration of that exchange: digestion and physiology, perception and movement, boundaries and relationship, and the question of how we can remain distinctly ourselves while still allowing life to change us.

Explore essays, poetry, and tidbits that wonder about the body we meet life from, what we take in along the way, and what happens to us through the encounter.

The Rules We Swallowed

Some of what shapes us arrived so gradually we stopped noticing it came from somewhere else. These essays explore the expectations, inherited beliefs, relational patterns, and cultural rules we have taken in—and what becomes possible when we can distinguish what has influenced us from what we want to carry forward.

The body has never existed apart from the life being lived. It is shaped through what we encounter, what we carry, what we take in, what we release, and what becomes part of us along the way. Perhaps the invitation is not to become better at managing ourselves, but to become more curious about the living already happening.

The body we inhabit.
The world we meet.
The rules we swallowed.

And everything that becomes possible when we begin to notice the difference.
